Dirt

Rv 4 v8 “…and day and night they do not cease to say, ‘Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God, the Almighty, who was and who is and who is to come.’”

Dirt in a pile of dirt is just more dirt.  A piece of dirt on a mountain, a mountain made of dirt, is insignificant, is not even seen.  But a piece of dirt in a clean or pure environment, as in a hospital operating room or on a kitchen table where food is being prepared, is very significant, is very noticeable, is a problem with potentially huge consequences.

My sin, when I am living on a mountain of sin in the midst of millions of other sinners, seems harmless, insignificant, and overlookable.  My sin in the presence of a Holy God, standing before His holy, glorious, and sinless throne, will stand out as the most obnoxious, repugnant, and blackened thing imaginable.

Sin before a Holy God will not stand.  It will be destroyed.  There is no mercy for unforgiven sin.  There is no place for sin in the presence of a Holy God.  Any sin.
